It's time for a shoutout for WONDERMARK, David Malki!'s comic mashup of things past and things present. It's a great comic but the point I particularly want to bring to your attention is his excellent examination of how our current SOPA/PIPA discussion has antecedents in the dim, dark past. Okay, maybe not THAT dim and dark, but early 19th century. It's quite a fascinating read that ultimately reinforces that old saw "the more things change, the more they stay the same." See if you don't think so yourself.
