Combine your love of good grammar with good coffee the easy way with AN AWESOME COFFEE MUG.
Oh, and if you haven't yet read "Eats, Shoots & Leaves: The Zero Tolerance Approach to Punctuation," by Lynne Truss, all I can ask is "What are you waiting for?!"
AND, I just noticed that the guys who make my mugs and totes and skins (oh my) are having a 1492 sale. Weird that they don't tell me ahead of time so I can tell you (ahead of time) but they don't. Apparently, since Columbus sailed the ocean blue in 1492, they'll discount any purchases by 14.92 percent. So if you were considering a purchase, this might be the final push you needed to see.

*chuckles* It’s amazing how much difference a simple comma can make, like the difference between “Let’s eat, Grampa!” and “Let’s eat Grampa!” Punctuation saves lives! XD
a new spin on the title of a punctuation book.
‘Twas a most excellent book, to be sure.
Well, I hadn’t heard of the book before this strip, which is my excuse. Also, what happened to putting a comma after the next to last item in a list? I have to sit here and mentally translate just what the hell was meant in any list where they do that as I’m not sure if the last two are supposed to be combined or separate every time I hit that. It’s a far cry from the grammar my mother beat into my head with a 20-pound sledge hammer (a figurative one since there isn’t any cranial damage to support the claim of it being real, though there were days where I wondered……).
Well, I guess it’s time to read the book!
I guess I’ll have to see if I can find it on Paperbackswap.com as I doubt my local library has a copy or could get one in, not to mention I’m not sure I’d get it read in time anyhow.
Where is your library, ours (US (Illiinois has 13 between the 2 libraries in the CU system and Texas has 32 in the San Antonio system) is brimming over them
Spider Robinson would be proud.
Talk about crime and pun-ishment.
14.92%?
Time to dig out my hacksaw & start sawing on pennies to get it exactly right…
I stared at the comic for a couple of minutes wondering what the joke was… then i almost died laughing when i finally got it
Whew, glad it was “almost.” Hate to have lost a fan, although if you’re gonna go, that’s not a bad way!
I like this one enough to have bought one of my own mugs, just to have it for the morning coffee.
